Harry H. Chalmers
Harry H. “Hock” Chalmers died Friday at Greenbrae convalescent Hospital after a long illness. He was 82.
He had lived in Greenbrae for the past four years.
Mr. Chalmers, a native of new Castle, Colo., was educated in Salt Lake city, Utah. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and his law degree from Stanford Law School.
He founded the investigation firm of Chalmers Co. in San Francisco in 1946. Before his retirement in 1975, he was a former president and a chartered member of the California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters and served as regional vice president for the western division of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters.
He loved the performing arts and was active in amateur theatrical productions during his college years. He was a member of the Bohemian Club for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Milena Chalmers of San Francisco. At his request, there will be no service.
