HOWARD CHAVEZ

Funeral for Howard Chavez, 62, of South San Francisco, a former resident of Mill Valley who died Thursday in a San Francisco hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Halsted and Co. in San Francisco. Inurnment will follow.

Chavez, a bookbinder more than 40 years, was born in Mill Valley and lived there as a boy. He returned to Mill Valley after World War II and lived there until 1955.

He is survived by his wife, Ann, and a sister, Mrs. Vee Fifer of San Francisco.
