CHARLES BENNETT

Charles W. Bennett, 79, of San Bernardino, father of Dr. E. Muriel Bennett of 7 Russell Avenue, Kentfield, died today of a brief illness during a visit at his daughter’s home.

Bennett, a native of Camden, N.Y., had lived in California 74 years and had visited Marin County many times. He owned a shoe business for 60 years prior to retirement

Other survivors are two sons, Charles F. Bennett of Arlington and Robert C. Bennett of Elsinore; a sister, Ella Bennett of Claremont; a brother, G. Calder Bennett of Redlands, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in San Bernardino. The family prefers memorial contributions to the Family Service Agency of Marin.

A Death Notice in the same papers adds that he was the husband of the late Edith C. Bennett.
