Helen L. Cox,
Former Resident of Marin County

Passed away at Petaluma Valley Hospital on January 19, 2002. She was born in Dayton, New York on January 12, 1923.

She was predeceased by her husband, Cliff O. Cox in 1989 and her sister, Gertrude "Judy" Shepardson, also in 1989. Helen is survived by her brother, Herbert H. Comstock of Palm Springs, California; her niece, Candace Vawter of Rohnert Park; nephew, John Comstock of Houston, Texas; and nephew, William Comstock of Palm Springs, California.

Helen moved West in 1949, settling first in Carson City, Nevada. Eventually, she found her way to Marin County where she worked in the restaurant business for many years. In 1954 she married Cliff Cox who, over the years, operated several restaurants in Marin. Following her time in the restaurant business, she worked in the Marin County Treasurer's Office, retiring in 1978. She and Cliff lived in Novato until May 1989 when they moved to Petaluma. Cliff passed away in November 1989, but Helen continued to live in Petaluma until her death.

At her request, no services were held.
