RUTH J. SCOTT

There will be no service for Ruth J. Scott, retired professor of Mill Valley, who died Monday in a local hospital after a long illness.

She was born in Michigan.

She had been a professor of home economics at Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., until she retired 18 years ago.

She moved to Mill Valley nine years ago, making her home with her sister, Dorothy Scott Horst at 295 Panoramic Highway.

She is also survived by two other sisters, Frances Scott of Mill Valley and Florence Scherer of Florida and two brothers, Lynn Scott of Novato and Robert Scott of Michigan.

Inurnment will be in Vicksburg, Mich.
