MABEL CARR
Funeral for Mabel C. Carr, 82, of 1116 Lincoln Avenue, San Rafael, will be held tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael.
Mrs. Carr died yesterday at a local hospital after a long illness. A native of Michigan, she moved to Marin County when she was 12.
She was the widow of James P. Carr, a brakeman for the Northwestern Pacific Railroad. She was an active Methodist Church worker, secretary-treasurer of the auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen for 45 years, an office holder in the Pythian Sisters, a volunteer worker for the Red Cross, and a member of women’s auxiliaries of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She worked for 17 years as a bill collection agent for Pacific Gas and Electric Co. and later worked as a bookkeeper for Albert’s Department Store in San Rafael.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Dora Kohlhoff of San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper mentions her grandchildren, Mrs. Gay Jagels and Henry and Michael Kohlhoff; she was the aunt of Mrs. Barbara Hurlbutt and Lawrence Trondsen.
