Charles R. Carter
Charles Raymond Carter was accorded final rites Saturday at St. Vincent’s Church, Petaluma, following his death on Thanksgiving Day at his home in San Rafael.
Mr. Carter, who served as superintendent of Mt. Olivet cemetery, was a native of California, born 56 years ago. Although in poor health for several weeks, death came as a severe shock to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Daisy Carter; three daughters, Miss Jean Carter, Mrs. Wm. Nyberg and Mrs. Russell Gordon, and three sons, Lewis C., William and Charles Jr., who is reported as missing in action in the North Atlantic.
