Teresa Costello

Teresa M. Costello, 82, of Fairfax, a retired schoolteacher, died yesterday at a local hospital after a long illness.

A native of Northampton, Mass. Miss Costello taught 40 years in the Chicopee, Mass., school system, retiring in 1952 as a supervising principal.

She moved to Marin nine years ago and lived at 174 Bothin Road with her niece, Margaret L. Doyle. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Francis W. Lovett of East Longmeadow, Mass.

She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Court of St. Agnes of the Catholic Daughters Association in Fairfax.

A Requiem Mass will be offered Saturday at St. Mary’s Church in Northampton. Burial will be in Northampton.
