Retired Roofer, 71, Dies In Hub City
Emory G. Bengston, formerly a resident of San Rafael for 11 years and a resident of 113 Woodland Avenue, San Anselmo, for the last year died at his home last night following a long illness.
He was born in Randolph, Kan., 71 years ago and was a retired roofing contractor. He was a member of Kilwinning Lodge No. 311 AF & AM of Chicago, Ill.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy I. Bengston, with whom he made his home in San Anselmo, a son, Robert C. Bengston of Vallejo, and daughter, Mrs. Helen I. Venn of Albuquerque, N.M.
He also leaves his brother and sisters, Charles A. Bengston of Chicago, Rose Estabrook of Tucson, Ariz., and Esther Goodson of Sacramento, and six grandchildren – Midshipman John W. Forbrick, USN, Robert, Mary Lou, and Jeffrey Venn, William R. and Wayne W. Bengston.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Harry M. Williams mortuary, San Rafael.
