LYDIA ZIERATH

Private funeral was today for Lydia C. Zierath of Tiburon.

Mrs. Zierath, 96, died Sunday at her home after a brief illness.

She was born in Sheboygan, Wis., and taught English there before her marriage in 1909 to Dr. William F. Zierath. He preceded her in death.

She remained in Sheboygan until she came to live in Southern California in 1954. She was a 13-year resident of Tiburon.

Mrs. Zierath is survived by three daughters, Marian Zierath of Tiburon, Gretchen Osterhoutt of Durango, Colo., and Charlotte Sirks of Riverside; a son, Maj. Gen. Fred Zierath of Tacoma, Wash.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.
