GEORGE CHAPMAN FINAL RITES HELD

Private funeral services were held today for George E. Chapman, 63, former owner of the Meadowsweet Poultry and Fish Market at the Corte Madera wye (sic). He died Saturday at a local hospital after a short illness.

He was a native of Kansas. For four years he had been residing on his ranch in Sonoma County near Santa Rosa.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel L. Chapman; two brothers, W. Floyd Chapman of Greenbrae, Samuel R. Harpster of Bakersfield, and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Douglas of San Fernando and Mrs. Nettie Barstow of Winslow, Ariz.

Funeral services were held at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary in San Rafael. Interment was in Mt. Tamalpais Memorial Park.
