OLIVER SOMERS

Funeral for Oliver H. Somers, 81, of 19 Wolfe Avenue, San Rafael, a 42-year resident of Marin, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.

Somers died at a local rest home Sunday after a long illness. He had been a self-employed business consultant with offices in San Francisco. He retired about 17 years ago.

Somers was a native of Canada.

His wife, Catherine, predeceased him.

He leaves a son, John H. Somers of San Francisco; a daughter, Mrs. Catherine S. McKaig of Seattle, Wash.; seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Burial will be private.
