William C. Allen Dies After Illness

William C. Allen, 73, retired chief clerk of Matson Navigation Co. and a former San Rafael resident, died last night in a Marin convalescent home after long illness.

Allen had spent the past five years in a series of convalescent homes. He lived in San Rafael before becoming ill. His wife, Elsie, died in 1955.
