DR. EWER

Private funeral will be held for Dr. Edward G. Ewer of Berkeley, father of Nancy Wilkenson of Novato.

Ewer, 65, died of pneumonia n New Year’s Eve. He was a native of Oakland and the son of the late Edward N. Ewer, onetime Oakland city health officer. He studied medicine abroad before establishing a private practice in the East Bay, and was a member of numerous medical associations.

In addition to his daughter, he is survived by his wife, Marjorie, a son, Edward N. Ewer in Berkeley, and two stepsons, Michael and Peter Herb.
