JOHN J. PUGH

Private family service for John J. Pugh, 68, of Fairfax, was held today at St. Rita’s Church, Fairfax.

Pugh, a pipeline designer for Pacific Gas and Electric Co., died Wednesday at a local hospital after a brief illness. He had worked for the utility firm in San Francisco for 38 years.

Pugh was an engineering graduate from Santa Clara University. He was a native of San Francisco and had been a resident of Marin for 40 years.

Surviving are his wife, Ethel Pugh of Fairfax, a son, Tom Pugh of San Francisco, and a sister, Virginia Marvin of Redwood City.

The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to Santa Clara University or the American Heart Association.
