HARRY GABRIELSON

Harry G. Gabrielson, 68, of Fairfax, who spent most of his life in the shipping business in Alaska, died yesterday after long illness.

Gabrielson, who lived at 7 Vista Way, was born in Hadlock, Wash. He went to Alaska at the age of 18 and built up a lighterage business in Nome. He retired three years ago and moved to Seattle, then came to Marin County two years ago. He was a member of Anvil Lodge 140, Free and Accepted Masons, of Nome, Alaska.

Surviving are his wife Pauline H. Gabrielson; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Sandstrom Dunbar of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Mrs. Vivian S. McCracken of Portuguese Bend; two brothers, Dr. Mark Gabrielson of Oak Harbor, Wash., and John Gabrielson of San Diego, and five grandchildren.

Private funeral services were held today at Chapel of the Hills mortuary in San Anselmo.
