Michael Matkovich of Tomales Dies

Michael Matkovich, retired Tomales Bay commercial fisherman, died yesterday at a local hospital following a two-week illness. He was 75.

A native of Yugoslavia, Matkovich had been a resident of Tomales for 41 years. He was a bachelor.

Surviving are his brothers and sisters, Andrew Matkovich and Mrs. Nick Kojich of Nick's Cove, Tomales Bay, Mrs. Jenny Yankovich and Mrs. Anna Marlais of Oakland, Dinko Matkovich and Mrs. Dinka Kekez of Yugoslavia.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 8:45 a.m. at Sorensen's Funeral Home in Petaluma. A Low Mass will follow at the Church of the Assumption in Tomales.

Rosary will be recited this evening at 8 o'clock; interment at Tomales Cemetery.
