Verla M. Della

Fairfax – A memorial service for Verla M. Della of Fairfax, a Marin resident for 35 years, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church of San Rafael.

Mrs. Della died Dec. 24 at an Olympia, Wash. hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 57.

Mrs. Della was born in Kansas. She served in the Navy and moved to Marin about 1945.

She worked as a clerk at two bakeries in Marin for several years.

She is survived by her husband, George L. Della of Fairfax and San Rafael; a daughter, Carolyn Woodbury of Olympia, Wash.; three brothers, Winton Lowry, Gordon Lowry and Wayne Lowry, all of Kansas; two sisters, Fay Lathrop of Kansas and Verda Seiler of Oklahoma, and two granddaughters.

The family prefers memorial donations to the First United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
