Vera E. Dorius

A funeral for Vera E. Dorius, a Marin resident for more than 50 years, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Gunnison Cemetery in Gunnison, Utah.

Mrs. Dorius died Saturday at a local convalescent hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 82.

Mrs. Dorius was born in Sterling, Utah, and moved to Marin in 1923. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the San Rafael Ward of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mrs. Dorius is survived by a son, Rellis Q. Dorius of Boise, Idaho; a daughter, Ida Muriel Baker of Eltopia, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Monte’s Mission Chapel mortuary in San Rafael.
