Albert Goderre Dies In Hospital
Albert Goderre, 65, a retired bartender and a familiar figure at the Sausalito Fire Department, died Monday in a local hospital. He was a native of New York but had lived for many years in Sausalito.
Goderre, who made his home at the firehouse, had been a member of the Sausalito Volunteer Fire Department for several years, though he had bee in failing health recently. In years past he had been employed at Marco’s Bar – site of the present Sausalito Hotel Restaurant – at the Little Willow and other taverns. He was a member of Bartenders and culinary Workers Union Local 126.
Survivors are a brother, George F. Goderre of Redwood City; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Gilbon and Mrs. Florence Keller of Mountain View, and a nephew, Robert Keller, also of Mountain View. A brother, Fred, is deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 8:45 a.m. from the Frank J. Keaton Mortuary in Sausalito, thence to the Star of the Sea Church where at 9 a.m. a Requiem Mass will be offered. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Interment will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.
