Daniel F. Hanlon of San Rafael Dies
Daniel F. Hanlon, 73, who moved to San Rafael after the San Francisco earthquake and fire in 1906, died this morning in a San Francisco hospital. He had been hospitalized since last Jan. 20.
Hanlon, retired owner of the Sanitary Supply Co. in San Francisco for 40 years, was a one-time chairman of the San Francisco Democratic Central Committee. He was also a member of St. Raphael’s Fiesta committee for many years.
A native of Virginia City, Nev., Hanlon is survived by his wife, Rita Hanlon also of 1009 B street, San Rafael; a son, Frank D. Hanlon and two grandsons, David E. and Donald F. Hanlon, also of San Rafael.
Hanlon was the father of the late Walter Hanlon and the brother of Mrs. Daniel Leahy and Mrs. Kathryn Becker, both of San Francisco.
Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday from Keaton’s, San Rafael to St. Raphael’s Church where a Requiem High Mass will commence at 9:30 a.m. burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
Recitation of the Rosary is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. tomorrow.
