Colonel Gent Dies At Travis

Lt. Col. William S. Gent, USA (ret.) of 148 Auburn street, San Rafael, died Thursday in Travis Air Force Base Hospital after undergoing surgery. He was 68.

Born in Massachusetts, Colonel Gent retired in 1946 after 24 years in the Army infantry.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; two sons, John and William, both of Reno, and a daughter, Ruth Morton of Menlo Park.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael.
