Pioneer Of Novato Called By Death

Mrs. May Dunlap Smith, 77, former assistant postmistress at Novato, dropped dead of a sudden heart attack yesterday afternoon in the office of a Novato physician.

A resident of the northern Marin community for 28 years, she held the assistant postmistress post for 15 years up to her retirement several years ago.

She is survived by a son, Roscoe Smith, 33 Yolanda drive, San Anselmo, a Pacific Gas and Electric Co. employee. Four granddaughters also survive.

The funeral will be held at Keaton’s , San Rafael, tomorrow at 2 p.m. with cremation following at the Chapel of the Chimes, Santa Rosa.
