Stephen John Elvin

A memorial service for Stephen John Elvin, 38, of San Rafael, a self-employed artist, will be held at Dominican College.

No date for the service has been set yet.

Elvin, who died Wednesday in San Rafael, was a recent graduate of Dominican College. He also had attended Indian Valley Colleges.

Among his works in Marin are murals at the former Trident restaurant in Sausalito.

He was a native of San Francisco, and a longtime resident of Marin.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Elvin of San Francisco; a son, Jonathan Elvin of San Jose; a brother, Kenneth Elvin of Oakland; and two sisters, Carol Petersen of San Francisco and Marsha Hewitt of Montana.
