IRENE M. YOUNG

Irene M. Young of Mill Valley died yesterday at a local convalescent hospital following a long illness. She was 78.

A native of San Francisco, Mrs. Young lived in Marin County for 43 years, most recently at 235 Elm Avenue.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Doris Day of Mill Valley, and two grandchildren.

A requiem Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mill Valley. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the memorial chapels of Russell and Gooch, Mill Valley. Members of the Star of the Sea Young Ladies Institute will assemble to recite the death ritual after the recitation of the Rosary.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: she was the widow of the late Harry A. Young, and grandmother of Thomas A. and Deanna M. Day.
