JOHN WORKMAN

Funeral for John Workman, 44, a retired Army lieutenant colonel who lived two years in Fairfax before moving to San Bernardino, will be tomorrow at 11:30 p.m. (sic) at Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.

He died Sunday in San Bernardino after a short illness.

Mr. Workman moved to San Bernardino after retiring from the Army and entered the real estate business. Active in civic affairs there, he was a candidate last year for the San Bernardino City Council.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Retired Officers Assn. He was a native of Washington.

Surviving are his wife, Helen E. Workman; two sons, John S. Workman of San Bernardino and James Workman of Crystal Bay, Nev.; a daughter, Susan C. Workman of San Bernardino; his father, Howard Stroud of Aptos, and a sister, Mrs. Patricia Newton of Kentfield.
