Henry Walter Garsva
Passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 18, 2002 at his home in Greenbrae at age 80 years. Loving father of Michael Garsva of Stinson Beach, Susan Moore of Terra Linda and Timothy (TA) Garsva of Petaluma; endearing grandfather of Alicia and Lyndsy Moore; beloved brother of Olga DeSales and her son Robert DeSales of Nevada. Loving uncle to Peter Ward and Kathy Gazda of New Hampshire, Michael and Rebecca Ward of the Grenadines, Madeline McKay of Massachusetts, and a loving brother-in-law to June Ward of Massachusetts.
Henry was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1921. He served in the armed forces in World War II as a decorated non commissioned officer from 1942 until January of 1946. Afterward, he attended Woodbury College and graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 1949. He then went on to develop a career in advertising that led him to the San Francisco Progress from which he retired in 1989. Henry follows his wife of 54 years, Lucille Garsva by four short months. He will be missed by all who knew him.
