James C. "Jim" Frush, Jr. Ph.D.
A native of San Francisco, CA and resident of Daphne, AL since 1983 died Sunday September 8, 2002 at his residence. He was 71. Dr. Frush was the owner of Retirement Residence, Inc. and supervised the development of several retirement communities in the Bay area. A graduate of Stanford University and Saybrook Institute in San Francisco, he taught at Springhill College and the University of South Alabama in the fields of Psychology, Theology and Gerontology. He wrote numerous publications, papers and two books relating to the elderly. Prior to his death, he completed an as yet unpublished manuscript. Dr. Frush is preceded in death by his parents, James C. Frush, Sr. and Inga Frush and a son, Gus Bell. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Carol Fetter Frush of Daphne, AL, a son, Michael (Paulina) Frush, a daugher, Gloria (Phil) Frederico, all from San Francisco, CA, cousins, Muriel Flitcroft of Sacramento, CA, Jan Holman of Northport, AL, Sue Beauregard of Pensacola, FL, his beloved cat, Titian, and a host of adoring friends and students.
