Mrs. Fred W. Gerlach, 43-Year Marin Resident

Mrs. Amalie B. Gerlach, a resident of Kentfield for 43 years, passed away at her home at 148 Wolfe Grade Thursday following a long illness. She was 76 years old and a native of Germany.

Mrs. Gerlach was the wife of Fred W. Gerlach, with whom she was associated in the shoe business in San Francisco, where he operates shoe stores and manufactures custom made shoes.

Other survivors are a son, Otto Gerlach of Kentfield; a daughter, Mrs. Luisa Saenger of San Francisco; a brother, Richard Best of San Anselmo; and grandchildren, William, Rudolph, Teddy, Joan and Walter Saenger.

Private family services were held today under the direction of the Harry M. Williams mortuary, San Rafael, with inurnment following at Cypress Lawn crematory.
