W. Ray Maude, Novato, Dies At 78
W. Ray Maude, 78, of Novato, a retired civil service employee, died last night at a local hospital after a short illness.
Maude, of 38 Lauren Avenue, was an Army sergeant in World War I, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in San Francisco, and of the Novato Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He was a native of Salt Lake City and moved to San Francisco at an early age. He had been a resident of Marin for 13 years.
Surviving are two sisters, Jeannie May Rose and Effie Maude Jensen, both of Novato, and a brother, George Henry Maude of Burlingame.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Redwood Chapel Funeral Home, Novato. Burial will be at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Colma.
