Sausalito resident

Lorraine DeMartini, 81, of Sausalito, died Dec. 25.

The Colorado native moved to Marin when she was 11.

A longtime member of the Sausalito Women’s Club, she also belonged to the YLI and Edgewater Seniors.

Her volunteer efforts included Whistlestop and St. Mary’s/Star of the Sea Church in Sausalito.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Creighton of San Rafael; a sister, Peggy Nunes of Redwood City; and five grandchildren, Todd of Chico, Theodore of Novato, Venetia of Redwood City, Tobin of San Diego, and Victoria of Novato.

Her husband of 53 years, Joseph, died earlier.

A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 31 at St. Mary’s/Star of the Sea Church in Sausalito.

Internment was private.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s/Star of the Sea Church.
