Emmett Grady

Emmett M. Grady, 54, a native of San Rafael and caddy at the Meadow Club in Fairfax for 35 years, was found dead in his apartment at 1902 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, Fairfax, Saturday night.

Grady, according to the coroner’s office, died of a heart attack. He was last seen alive on Jan. 9.

Fairfax Police Officer Richard Morin forced his way into the apartment at 11:15 p.m. in response to a call from Mrs. Dorothy Coletti, Grady’s landlady.

Grady is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Pensabene of Daly City and Mrs. Genevieve Smith.

A Requiem Mass will be said at 9 a.m. tomorrow at St. Rita’s Church in Fairfax. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Raphael. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the son of the late James J. and Winifred A. Grady, and the brother of the late Roger, James and John Grady.
