John J. Hanlon

Retired Lt. Col. John J. Hanlon, 77, of Belvedere died Sunday at Marin General Hospital.

He was born in Oregon.

An attorney, he worked for the state of California's Division of Corporations for 20 years.

He served in the armed forces during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah Hanlon; and two sisters, Veronica Hanlon of Tacoma, Wash. and Marganet (sic) Roehm of Santa Barbara.

A Mass of the Christian Burial is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Hilary's Catholic Church, Tiburon. He will be buried at San Francisco National Cemetery at the Presidio.

The family prefers contributions to the American Heart Association.

A Death Notice in the same paper mentions that arrangements were by Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel, 270 Miller Ave., Mill Valley.
