Norm Hershon

Passed away suddenly in Marin County on February 20, 2002 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Sheila; beloved by his son Marc Charles and his girlfriend, Christina Marie; son Gary Alan and his wife Melinda; daughter Elise Ann and her husband Anthony Durenburger; beloved grandfather of Cole and Halle Hershon, and Justin and Callan Durenburger.

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1930, Norm was raised in Forest Hills, New York before attending the University of Alabama. After graduating, he enjoyed a career in journalism before joining TV Guide magazine in 1959 and becoming their West Coast Advertising Manager. In 1979 he became Advertising and Media Director for Golden Gate Fields Racetrack in Albany until 1986.

Aside from his career, his pastime was his family and he devoted himself to seeing to their well-being. Norm will be missed always and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to The American Lung Association and/or Wildcare, P.O. Box 150930, San Rafael, CA 94915-0930.
Friends are welcome to attend a Funeral Service, to be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 25th at Monte's Chapel Of The Hills Mortuary, 330 RedHill Avenue,
San Anselmo.
