Fred A Hooper Dies At Age 56

Private funeral for Fred A. Hooper, 56, former Marin County deputy sheriff, was held yesterday at Halsted and Co. funeral home, San Francisco.

Hooper, of 222 Los Angeles Boulevard, San Anselmo, died Thursday in a Sonoma County hospital after a short illness.

He served the sheriff department 20 yeas, retiring three years ago. Since then, he had worked as a guard for Associate Security Agency, San Rafael.

Born in San Francisco, Hooper lived in Marin County 20 years.

Survivors are his wife, Ruth, and a daughter, Mrs. Valora Pitts of San Anselmo.

A Death Notice in the same paper mentions that he was the grandfather of Valora Jean and William Frederick Pitts.
