E. W. Hoertkorn Last Rites Held

A Requiem Mass was celebrated for Edward William Hoertkorn of San Anselmo Wednesday in SS Peter and Paul’s Church in San Francisco. Entombment was in Holy Cross Mausoleum.

Hoertkorn, a retired San Francisco News employee, died Monday in a Marin hospital after a five-week illness. For the past two years he lived with his son, Charles E. Hoertkorn, at 28 El Cerrito, San Anselmo.

The native San Franciscan is survived by his son, a daughter, Mrs. Lee Rianda of Salinas, and two brothers, Thomas and Harold Hoertkorn of San Francisco.
