Amy Kays Hanson Howell

Passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, February 15, 2002 in San Rafael, California. Amy was born on March 9, 1920 and was raised in Mill Valley. She attended Old Mill School and graduated from Tam High. She lived in San Francisco for most of her life, working at UCSF for over 25 years.

She is survived by her brother Dr. Karl Hanson, her sister Flora Randolph, her children, Mary Maher, Melinda, Charlotte and Albert Howell; and nine grandchildren: Joshua, Fritz, and Amy Kay Wittmann, Leroy and Lerone Comier; Sean and Meghan Maher; Keith Harris and Kelie MacIlraith; and six great grandchildren.

Amy was known for her energetic and overflowing heart, and she will be missed by her many relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 2nd, 2002 at 1:00 PM, St. Luke's Presbyterian Church, 10 Bayview Drive, San Rafael, CA 94901. Memorial gifts may be sent to St. Luke's Presbyterian Church.
