KAHN, Clare Marie (Carson) -- died peacefully on June 17, 2001 at the Rafael Convalescent Hospital, San Rafael, CA. She was born on February 20, 1921 in San Francisco. Clare was a caring wife and companion for 56 years with Alan E. Kahn. She was a devoted mother of Brian, Denise, Paul, Robert, Catherine Kahn and Sean Carson. Loved by her daughters in law Clare Marie, Chris, & Mary Jo. She was also a dedicated grandmother to David, Michael, Rosemary, James, Laurel, Anthony, & Nicole Kahn, Katie & Sharon Axelrod, Matthew & Erin Hill and a great grandson Miguel Cisneros. Clare graduated from St. Rose Academy, San Francisco in 1938, and Dominican University of San Rafael in 1942. Clare was a member of the Catholic Daughters and NARFE. Clare spent many years as a volunteer for the Helping Hands of St. Rita's Church, for the Dominican Sisters of San Dominico & the Dominican Sisters at Lourdes Infirmary. The Memorial Mass will be on Wednesday June 20 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Rita's Church, Fairfax CA. Interment will be private at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Infirmary of the San Rafael Dominicans, 77 Locus Ave, San Rafael, CR 94901, Friends of Rafael Convalence Hospital, 234 North San Pedro Road, San Rafael, CA 94903, or a charity of your choice. Donations are preferred to flowers.
