Maria Lavio

Mass of Christian Burial has been offered for Maria Lavio, 86, longtime Petaluma dairy rancher.

Mrs. Lavio died July 3 at a local hospital after a long illness. A native of Italy, she came to the United States in 1919 at the age of 29. She married her husband, Dazio, in 1921.

She and her husband had operated dairy ranches all their lives. The family ranch is at 4990 D Street Extension.

Mrs. Lavio had been a member of the Sons of Italy.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Leo Lavio; a daughter, Elsie Albertoni, both of Petaluma; a brother and sister in Italy; and seven grandchildren.

Entombment was at Calvary Cemetery.
