MAX SOBBE
Funeral for Max Sobbe of Larkspur, retired accountant for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co., will be held at 9 a.m. tomorrow at the Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo.
Special prayer services will be held at 8 p.m. today at the Chapel of the Hills. Burial will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.
Sobbe, 61, died Saturday at a local hospital following a short illness.
An accountant for 30 years, Sobbe last worked for Pacific Telephone in San Francisco, retiring in 1960.
He was born in San Jose. He was a member of San Rafael Lodge 1106, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and Zane Irwin Post 93, American Legion San Francisco. He was a veteran of World War II.
Sobbe had lived in Marin County 33 years. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Rea Sobbe; two brothers, Melvin of San Lorenzo and Leslie Sobbe of Oakland., and a sister, Mrs. Claire Radenz of Oakland.
