Death Calls For John J. Valley
John J. Valley passed away last Friday following an attack of influenza which developed into pneumonia. He had been ill little more than a week. A sad feature of the death was the fact that all the members of the family, the widow and three small children, were confined to the home at the time with the same illness. The deceased was 34 years of age.
Valley was well known here, where he lived for many years. Some time ago he removed to Mill Valley, and recently he had been employed in San Francisco. About a year ago a little daughter was instantly killed at Mill Valley by a Northwestern Pacific train. The surviving members of the family are the widow, Mrs. Margaret Valley, Juanita, Margaret and Ray Valley, the children.
He was a member of the San Rafael lodge of Elks and Conselho Amore Bauniao No. 19, U.P.E.C. The funeral services were held Monday at Sawyer's Parlors, with services held at the Parochial School building by St. Raphael's church.
