IRENE MALONE
The American flag in front of the Marin County Courthouse in San Rafael flew at half mast today in memory of Irene Malone, a county employee for seven years, who died in a local hospital yesterday after a long illness.
Mrs. Malone, 38, was employed as a deputy recorder in the county recorder’s office and was a member of t he Marin County Employees Assn. She had previously been employed for seven years at the San Rafael branch of the Bank of America.
A native of China, she had lived in California for 16 years and in Marin for 15 years.
She lived with her husband, William G. Malone, at 43 Crestwood Drive, San Rafael. Malone, employed by the H. A. Muller contracting company in San Anselmo, is her sole survivor.
The funeral cortege will leave the Harry M. Williams Mortuary in San Rafael at 9 a.m. Friday and procede (sic) to St. Raphael’s Church, where a High Mass of Requiem will be offered at 9:30 a.m. A Rosary will be recited at the mortuary at 8 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
