Ulysses S. Turley, Pioneer Realtor, Dies at His Home
Active for more than 50 years in the real estate and insurance business in San Rafael, U. S. Turley, 82, died at his home last Friday morning.
A native of Chicago, Turley came to California when a boy and settled in San Rafael in 1889. For many years following his arrival here he was employed in the carriage factory of the late P. E. Duffy at Third and C Streets.
In 1903, Turley opened his own real estate and insurance office which he maintained until failing health caused his recent retirement from the business life of the city.
He was an active member of the Methodist Church. The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Adeline S. Turley.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Methodist Church and inurnment followed at the Chapel of the Chimes in Santa Rosa.
