TORRANCE - In Fairfax, September 29, 1941, James Robson Torrance, beloved husband of Rosa Torrance, father of James Robson Torrance, William F. Torrance, Mary R. Torrance and Mrs. Jessie Alsop; a native of Scotland, aged 77.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral Wednesday, October 1, 1941, at 2 o’clock from Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Interment, Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.

James R. Torrance

James Robson Torrance, retired architect who has lived in Fairfax for the last nine years, died at his home there in Upper Scenic Drive this morning at the age of 77.

He leaves a widow, Mrs. Rosa Torrance; two sons, James Robson Torrance and William F. Torrance, and two daughters, Mary R. Torrance and Mrs. Jessie Alsop.

Torrance was a native of Scotland.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from Keaton’s Mortuary. Interment will be in Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.
