Ruth Shaffer

Born December 31, 1923 in Kokomo, Indiana to Madge and Manford Shaffer. Ruth passed away at the age of 78 on Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at her home in the Novato Mobile Home Park. She was raised in Kokomo, Indiana and worked for the Delco Division of General Motors for 40 years. Ruth moved to Marin County in 1982 and worked for ten years for the County of Marin. Ruth was loved by her friends and neighbors in the Novato Mobile Home Park and held a special friendship with her neighbor, Jim Kendrick. Ruth loved animals, as well as people and wishes donations are made in her memory to the Marin Humane Society, the Marin Human Needs, or the American Cancer Society.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Ruth's Life on Saturday, February 9th at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 967 5th Avenue, Novato, California.

Funeral arrangements provided by Mount Tamalpais Mortuary & Cemetery, 2500 5th Avenue, San Rafael, CA 415-459-2500.
