Rosary Set For Mother Of Novato Catholic Priest

Rosary will be recited this evening, 8:30 p.m., at the Evergreen Mortuary, McAvoy-O’Hara, Tenth and Geary streets, San Francisco, for Catherine McCarthy, mother of Rev. B. J. McCarthy of Our Lady of Loretto church in Novato.

Mass will be said Thursday, 10 a.m. at St. Cecelia’s church, 17th and Vicente streets, San Francisco, with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Surviving also are sons Rev. Vincent McCarthy, director of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith; Thomas W., secretary to the San Francisco Fire Commission; daughter, Mrs. Mary V. Roche; two other children; and seven grandchildren.
