GOVENA DOHERTY

A Requiem Mass for Govena Doherty of 7 Edward Avenue, Santa Venetia, was offered today at St. Thomas More church, San Francisco.

Mrs. Doherty, 70, died Saturday at a local hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of retired accountant John J. Doherty. A native of San Francisco, she was a Marin resident five years.

She is survived by her husband; two stepbrothers, Clarence Hall of Occidental, Sonoma County, and Dr. Thomas G. Hall of San Francisco; a half-brother. Edward J. Hibbart of San Francisco, and stepsister, Sister Mary Frederica of Mary Knoll Convent in Monrovia.

Burial was private.
