OWEN J. MORRIS

Funeral for Owen John Morris, a retired painter, will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Russell and Gooch Mortuary, Mill Valley. Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.

Morris died Friday at a local hospital after a long illness. He was 65.

A native of Rochester, N.Y., he moved to Marin County in 1945, residing at 28 Olive Avenue, Larkspur. He moved to 533 Comstock Drive, Tiburon, in 1963, where he lived until his death. In 1958 he retired from his job as painter with Johnson Construction Co. in Mill Valley.

Morris is survived by a son, Robert, of Dalton, N.Y., a brother, Jack, of San Francisco, and four grandchildren.
