Donald M. Parker Dies at 61
Donald M. Parker, 61, a photoengraver for the Independent Journal the last 13 years, died at a local hospital yesterday after a long illness.
Parker, who came to the I-J after working with the Salter Brothers engraving firm in San Francisco for 30 years, lived with his wife, Gladys, at 842 Hayden Avenue in Novato.
A native of Portland, Ore., Parker had lived in the Bay Area for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Hamilton Masonic Lodge and Photoengravers Union.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary in San Rafael. Inurnment will follow.
