Richard M. Paschal
Novato resident Richard M. Paschal died at his home Sunday after a sudden illness. He was 57.
A native of Washington, he moved to the Bay Area with his family when he was 2 years old and was raised in San Francisco.
He had lived in Novato for the last 11 years, and was a resident of San Rafael for 20 years before then.
He was a controller for Civil Service Employees Insurance Co. in San Francisco for the last 11 years. He held controller posts with other insurance companies previous to then.
He was a veteran of World War II when he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He is survived by is wife, Donna Paschel; a son, John Richard Paschal of Washington; two daughters, Penny Jean White of Texas and Rebecca Jo Paschel of Novato; a brother, William Paschal of Pine Grove; his mother, Alma Paschal of Novato, and a grandson.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Keaton's Chapel of Marin in Novato.
